Both my wife and I, along with most of our family have been going to the Harvester Barn, Chichester since it was opened. As you are aware there has been a significant change to the decor and improvement of the menu etc of this restaurant in the past few months, which is most appreciated. We all visited the restaurant yesterday -13/01/17/ 15:35. Disappointment was expressed by members of our group that the buffet was not up to it\'s usual good standard. There were two trays of potato salad, two trays of grated carrots and to top it all the ever most popular black OLIVES had been removed. We most certainly believe that we did not get value for our money on this occasion. Perhaps there is a valid reason for lack of items not included on the buffet, whatever the reason, Harvester ought to be aware that, excluding items that are normally on the menu and replacing them with extra potatoes/carrots does not go down very well with customers at all! Perhaps the olives could be reintroduced, not as a single item but possibly included in a mixed salad bowl. In any case, it would be nice to see these most popular of items back on the menu. Generally, the food and service we have received over the years at this Harvester has been of good value, no doubt we wish to continue our well-established relationship with this fine eatery.
