Sky UK Limited is a British telecommunications company which serves the United Kingdom. Sky provides television and broadband internet services and fixed line telephone services to consumers and businesses in the United Kingdom. They were founded in 1990 and were the largest television provider until 2007, when it was overtaken by Freeview. They offer customers a variety of options to bundle their broadband, television, and landline coverage together.

Sky offers a variety of exclusive services to its customers that other providers do not have access to, chiefly certain television shows, movies, and sports coverage. Sky offers many of their exclusive rights with the Sky Atlantic channel and Sky Sports. On Sky Atlantic, customers are able to view exclusive content from the United States, including popular TV shows currently aired on exclusive channels such as HBO and Showtime, which would otherwise be unavailable to non-US customers. On the Sky sports channel they currently have many exclusive rights deals. Beginning in 2017, Sky will take exclusive rights of the British Open from the BBC, which has previously held the exclusive rights to the major golf tournament.

Sky offers customers a variety of customer service options, so they can choose whichever best fits their needs. The first of these is the live chat that they provide for all customers wishing to sign up, as well as customers who are already paying for Sky’s services. This option lets customers speak with a customer representative immediately, for as long as they are available during the opening hours. This option also allows customers to visit the site multiple times for the same issue if their time is pressing: all conversations are saved and can even be emailed to the customer to ensure that deals offered are recorded.
